Annual Reports

2023

This year for Griot Arts has been one of reimagining, reinventing, and regrounding. Our ultimate goal has always been to serve the whole child through the arts. While our old model has been working, we realized our community needs more and there was more we could provide.

2021

From 2019 to 2021, Griot Arts experienced significant transformation, expanding its impact and enhancing its offerings in arts, education, and workforce development. The acquisition of the Paramount Theater signifies a leap forward in our mission, fueled by community support and a vision for future growth. Celebrating a decade of service, we remain dedicated to empowering youth and fostering creativity, as we look ahead to new opportunities for innovation and engagement.

2022

As we reflect on our last year, two aspects come to mind: Griot has never faced more tumultuous times than what we have come through during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have never been more hopeful for the future than we are right now.

2020

This year has been far from what anyone expected. It has been filled with great uncertainty and momentous challenges. In response to these difficult circumstances, however, I have witnessed incredible resilience in our community and a coming together that has enabled Griot Arts to adapt as an organization and stay committed to our vital mission of providing access to opportunities in the arts, education, and workforce development.
